A Hopkinsville man was served a warrant around 8 p.m. Thursday while at the Hopkinsville Police Department on North Main Street for several sexual charges involving coercing minors, according to an HPD report.
The warrant states Earl O. Caldwell III, 41, arranged to meet two juveniles at Rodeway Inn to allegedly supply them with alcohol.
The minors were 16 and 17 years old. The meeting was allegedly arranged between Caldwell and the 16-year-old with the intent to engage in sexual activity in exchange for money, according to the report.
Once at the hotel, Caldwell allegedly supplied the teenagers with alcohol and engaged in sexual activity with both of the juveniles, the report said.
The report went on to say the 16-year-old allegedly agreed to have sex with Caldwell for money on two separate occasions. Caldwell also engaged in sodomy and sexual intercourse with the 17-year-old, who was intoxicated, according to the report.
Caldwell is charged with one count of first-degree rape, two counts of third-degree rape, one count of first-degree sodomy (victim incapable of consent) and two counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
