A man was arrested at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday at Walmart on Clinic Drive after he stole over $1,500 worth of electronics from the store, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report.

The report states Herbert Breneman, 18, Hopkinsville, was observed by Walmart employees several items of merchandise from the store.

Breneman was found to have allegedly stolen a 65-inch TV, several DVDs and several PlayStation 4 games, worth a total of $1,586, according to the report.

Breneman was arrested and charged with shoplifting over $500 but under $10,000.

Victoria Cox reported that around 1:30 a.m. Saturday an unknown individual fired a weapon striking her home on Hazel Street while she and two other people were sleeping inside the home, according to an HPD report. The shooting caused around $1,000 in damages to the home’s walls and siding, the report added.

Kimberly Dowdell reported that at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday an unknown suspect fired a gun into the front window of her home on East Ninth Street while she and two other people were inside, according to an HPD report. The shooting caused approximately $600 worth of damage to the home, the report added.
