One Oak Grove man and a Clarksville man were both arrested on Jan. 5 and 7 in connection to a Clarksville missing person case, according to a Kentucky State Police press release.
The release states the Clarksville Police Department requested KSP’s assistance in locating Justin T. Sawyer, who was reported missing from Clarksville on Dec. 17.
Through investigation, KSP detectives and CPD discovered at least three individuals were responsible for Sawyer’s disappearance and believed death, the release states.
Through that investigation, troopers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Dawuan Davis, 20, Clarksville, on Jan. 5 for charges of first-degree robbery, kidnapping (with serious physical injury) and first-degree assault.
Davis was located at an apartment complex on Mandarin Drive in Oak Grove and was arrested on Jan. 5, according to the release.
On Jan. 7, KSP was also able to obtain an arrest warrant for Gene “Doug” Henry, 36, Oak Grove, with charges of abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
Henry was located at the same apartment complex in Oak Grove on Jan. 11 and was arrested, the release said.
Also on Jan. 7, troopers were able to obtain a third arrest warrant for another individual allegedly involved in the case, Marquell D. Sims, 22, Oak Grove. His charges include complicity to first-degree robbery, complicity to kidnapping (with serious physical injury) and complicity to first-degree assault.
KSP has not yet been able to locate Sims and is requesting the public’s help in arresting him, the release added.

Zach White, 28, Cadiz, was arrested at around 7:55 p.m. Tuesday in the area of North Main Street in Hopkinsville after a traffic stop led to a short vehicle pursuit before being apprehended on foot after crashing his vehicle, according to a Christian County Sheriff’s Office release. White was arrested and charged with failure to use turn signal, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property (firearm), inadequate silencer, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and tampering with physical evidence.
Jamuel J. Burchett, 45, and Rickie Jones, 59, both of Hopkinsville, were both arrested at around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday while at Fort Campbell Boulevard following a car accident for first-degree possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report. Burchett had an additional charge of resisting arrest, the report added.
Kyle Gibbs, 29, Pembroke, was arrested at around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday while at Griffin Bell Drive for receiving stolen property over $10,000, according to an HPD report.
