A Hopkinsville man was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Thursday while driving on East 22nd Street after driving a stolen vehicle, according to a Hopkinsville Police Department report.
Officers observed a car that was previously reported stolen driving on Alumni Avenue, the report stated. Once on East 22nd Street, police initiated a traffic stop.
Officers identified the driver as Kaylob J. Meeks, 23, who was driving on a suspended license, according to the National Crime Information Center.
Police searched the vehicle and discovered a black backpack containing Meeks' social security card and a baggie with pills, the report added.
Meeks was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, operating on a suspended operator's license and possession of legend drug.
Meeks was also served a warrant out of Christian County for probation violation of a felony offense.
