Judy Scott

Judy Hayes Scott, age 62, of Christian County, “crossed over to be with our Lord” on Saturday April 17, 2021, after a hard fought battle against breast cancer. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church (501 Noel Ave. Hopkinsville, KY 42240).

Judy was born on May 28, 1958, in Christian County, KY, the daughter of the late Ralph and Loyce Hayes. She was a cosmetologist, wife, mother, singer, artist and disciple/warrior for God. The world is a less beautiful and melodious place without her talents and angelic voice. She led the Children’s Ministries at multiple churches throughout her life. Her faith led many children and adults around the world to the Lord. She gave from her heart freely and spent her life serving and caring for others. Her love of God, family, friends and life shined through her beautiful blue eyes. We are blessed with a legacy of love and faith that will remain in our lives and hearts because we knew Judy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Lisa Hayes in 2011 and Laurie Suggs in 2020. Survivors include her beloved husband Donnie Scott and son Brandon Scott of Christian County, daughter Donya (Bob) Bainbridge of Dubuque, IA; sister Sarita (Bob) Darby of Mountain Home, AR; brother-in-law Terry Suggs of Clarksville, TN; and four grandchildren Anna-Scott Bainbridge, Trinity Scott, Abygale Bainbridge and RJ Bainbridge.

In lieu of flowers or food we ask that people make a donation directly to Donnie Scott (4475 Butler Rd. Hopkinsville, KY 42240) for the CBB Greenhouse project. CBB (Christian Based Botanicals) is a Christian based community gardening project aimed at teaching primarily underprivileged elementary children the importance of gardening, patience and hard work. Thank you all for your love and prayers.
