Carolyn Ann Maxey Sydnor, 73, Elkton, died at 5:58 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at her residence of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Elkton with the Rev. Phillip Suber officiating.

Burial will be in Elkton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 until the service hour Friday at the church. Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, she was born June 25, 1946, the daughter of the late James Maxey and Dolly Mae Maxey.

She worked in management at Fairfield Inn Hotel and had previously worked at Thomas Industries as a nurse's aide.

She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church where she was in the choir and worked in the kitchen.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Van Sydnor, Elkton; her children, Charles (Rebbeca) Maxey, Morganfield, Lisa (Timothy) Leavell, Kimberly (Daryl) Mitchell, Michelle (Michael) Carr, all of Clarksville, Kelly Sydnor and Betty Sydnor, both of Elkton; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
