Amy Jo Irwin Simpson, 52, of Thrush Drive, died Friday, June 7, 2019 at her residence of natural causes.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Poe officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, she was born Nov. 7, 1966, the daughter of the late Charlie R. and Ellen Ricketts Irwin.

She had worked as a registered nurse and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, James Howard Simpson IV, Hopkinsville; her daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Simpson, Hopkinsville, KY; and her sisters, Sandy Caudle (Dave) DeZwaan, Clarksdale, Mississippi, Shelley (Steve) Tribble, Hopkinsville, Sherry (Tom) Tuggle, Louisville, and Clara (Bob) Gilbert, The Villages, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to memorial trust fund for her children at Simpson Children Memorial Fund, c/o Planters Bank, P.O. Box 1570, Hopkinsville, KY 42241.
