John Wayne Yandell, 74, of Princeton, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. John Hagan officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home.

A Princeton native, Yandell was born on April 29, 1945, to the late John and Beulah Croft Yandell.

Wayne built the cable system in Princeton starting in 1965 where he later managed. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Princeton, a deputy sheriff and once a volunteer firefighter. He was an avid supporter of the NRA and loved fly fishing and hunting. Wayne was a loving father, grandfather and devoted husband.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Jean Yandell and one brother, Jack Yandell.

He is survived his wife of 54 years, Margaret Yvonne Cochran Yandell; three daughters, Denise (Buddy) Pool, Melissa (Conrad) Pressley, Michelle (Bill) Flood, all of Princeton; one sister, Sue Simms of Princeton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
