Michael Demond Buckner Thomas, 37, Hopkinsville, died May 13, 2020, in Elizabethtown.

A private memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday for the family only at Adams and Sons Mortuary with the Rev. C.R. Miller officiating.

A native of Madisonville, he was born Jan. 21, 1983, the son of O’Daniel (Veronica) Buckner, and Vanessa Willajean Duncan Thomas, both of Hopkinsville.

He was an auto detailer and a rapper. He was a member of Moores Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Soloman and Julian Duncan, and his sister, LaShonda Thomas.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Shardae Antonique Combs Thomas, Hopkinsville; four sons, DeNahzion Thomas, Ezeryan Thomas, Ayden McKnight, all of Hopkinsville, Gavin Michael Gott, Central City; a daughter, Elainia Thomas, Xenia, Ohio; two brothers, O’Daniel C. Buckner and Mario V. Buckner Thomas, both of Hopkinsville; a step brother, Henry (Paula) Snorton III, Hopkinsville; three sisters, Lisa Thomas Cross, Danielle (David) Green, Hopkinsville, Shakiva Buckner, Louisville; and one step sister, Adia (Recus) Johnson, Hopkinsville.
