N. Gayle Baldwin, 73, of Crofton, died at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton with Pastor Clint Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Crofton, she was born July 12, 1948, the daughter of the late Roy E. Back, Sr. and Eula Payne Back. She was a bookkeeper for various local companies. She was the secretary treasurer and board member for the Crofton Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a member in the Order of the Eastern Star and Union Temple General Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Carroll Wayne Baldwin; her brother: Daniel Back; her sister: Barbara Ashby; and her grandson: Nicholas Baldwin.
Survivors include her sons: Barry (Anna) Baldwin of Tampa, FL, Tim (E.J.) Baldwin of Hopkinsville, and Mitchell Wilson of Orlando, Fla.; her daughters: Vicki (Bernie) Starr of Crofton, and Kerry (Michael) Vance of Hopkinsville; her brothers: Roy (Verla) Back, Jr. of Spring Hill, Tenn., Phillip (Diane) Back of Hopkinsville, and Edgar Back, Jr. of Crofton; her eight grandchildren; and her 10 great grandchildren.
