Charlene McGregory

Charlene Rogers McGregory, age 90, died on Saturday Nov. 7, 2020 at the Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville.

Funeral services are scheduled at 1 p.m., Monday Nov. 16, 2020 in the Chapel of Adams and Sons Mortuary. The social distancing walk-through visitation hours are from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. The Rev. C.E. Timberlake will be officiating. The burial will take place at the Cave Spring Cemetery in Hopkinsville.

Born in Caruthersville, Missouri on Dec. 26, 1929, she was the daughter of Lady Mae Rogers and Douglas Rogers. She was a member of First Street Baptist Church in Hopkinsville where she served on the Mothers Board. Charlene was employed by the Dupli Color Factory in Chicago, Illinois. Coming from Chicago, she lived in Hopkinsville for 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two children, Will Dickerson and Douglas Dickerson; and her husband Virgil McGregory.

She is survived by her relatives; Dorothy Deary of Poole, Georgia, Gloria (Albert) Rogers of Chicago, Illinois, Kenneth Thompkins of Russellville, Kentucky, Frank Dickerson and Dwayne (Doris) Dickerson, both of Chicago, Sheronda McGregory of Evansville, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
