Fred William Stepp, 84, West Seventh Street, died at noon Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be at noon Friday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. N.A. Kirby and Wayne McReynolds officiating.

Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Adams and Sons Mortuary.

A native of Christian County, he was born March 7, 1935, the son of the late Richard Q. Lewis and Elizabeth Lee Johnson Stepp.

He was retired from Earle Clements Job Corps Center in Greenville.

He was a member of West Union Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alexander Stepp Sr.; two brothers, Richard Lewis Jr. and Henry Leslie; his sister, Nellie E. Stepp Miller; his son, Rickie Stepp; his first wife, Dorothy King Stepp, and his second wife, Cora Jean Byers Stepp.

Survivors include his stepsons, Alonzo Byers, Alvin Byers and Vincent Byers, all of Hopkinsville; six brothers, Alexander (Doris) Stepp, Joseph W. Stepp, Dennis (Alessandra) Stepp, all of Hopkinsville, Herschel (Allison) Stepp and Robert D. Stepp, both of Paducah, and Jerry L. Stepp, Alameola, California; his sister, Mary L. Stepp Smith, Hopkinsville; and a host of grandchildren.
