Sarah Faye Sweeney, 83, Mill Green Court, Hopkinsville, deid on Monday, April 5, 2021 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Major Jose Marquez officiating. He will be assisted by Captain Candi Marquez and Sergeant Steve Wulfing. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service hour on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Shanksville, PA, she was born August 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Mike Asper and the late Frieda Elias.
For 20 years, she was a case worker at the Salvation Army. She was a member of Ladies Home League and VP Widowed Person Services. She was a life member of Salvation Army Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude E. Sweeney; brother, Shehab Asper; and sister, Carol Hill.
Survivors include her sons, Bob (Robin) Sweeney, Georgia, Randy (Kaye) Sweeney, Hopkinsville, and Michael (Natalie) Sweeney, California; brother, Danny Taylor, New Kingston, PA; sisters, Barbara Parks, New Kingston, PA, and Marilyn “Leigh” Price, Garrison, NY; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
