Betty Evans Powell, 75, Ebenezer-Ovil Road, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at Baptist Health Louisville of natural causes.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lamb Funeral Home with Jeremy Hayes officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A native of Todd County, she was born July 30, 1944, the daughter of the late James Chester Evans and Elsie Lucyle Rager Evans.

She worked on the farm and was a hairdresser. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Evans.

Survivors include her husband, James E. "Jimmy" Powell, Hopkinsville; her son, Douglas Garner (Ohana) Powell, Hopkinsville; and her sister, Judy Turner ( Gathial "G.W." ) Knight, Hopkinsville; and 2 Grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund C/O Marion Powell, 16105 Ovil Road, Hopkinsville, KY, 42240.
