Henry Ezekiel “Zeke” King III, 80, of Oak Grove, died at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Brandt Lyon officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, he was born August 14, 1941, the son of the late Herman Henry King and Julia King Pryor. He was a farmer and a professional musician having played for Johnny Paycheck and Wayne Kemp. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and a member of AFM 257 Nashville Musicians Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Joy Diane King Guier, Karen Elizabeth King Brown, and Henry Ezekiel King III; and his sister, Julia “Sugarpie” King.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Joy King; his son-in-law, Monty Guier of Pembroke; his step-sister, Peggy Cunningham of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren, Meagan Brown (Cory) Bowling, Rachel Brown (Zach) Crick, Caleb Ezekiel Brown, and Tabetha Diane Guier; and his great grandchildren, Amity Bowling and Dixon King Bowling.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Olivet Baptist Church or the Giver’s Favorite Charity.
