Herman E. Miller, 84, Guthrie, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at his home of natural causes.

Services were at 10 a.m. Sunday at South District Amish Church with Bishop Marvin King officiating. Interment followed at the South District Church Cemetery.

Visitation was from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church.

A native of Kalona, Iowa, he was born Jan. 29, 1935, the son of the late Ezra and Edna Brenneman Miller.

He was a minister and member at South District Amish Church and was a retired farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Arlis Miller, in 2007; his daughter, Carrie Coblentz, in 1988; three brothers, Chester, Mahlon and Edward Miller; and two sisters, Catherine Yoder and Barbara Miller.

Survivors include two brothers, Joe Miller Jr. and Mark (Dora) Miller, both of Kalona, Iowa; one sister, Ida Miller, Carpenter, Wyoming; two sisters-in-law Susie Miller, Delaware, and Edna Miller, Iowa; one brother-in-law, Mose I. Miller, Donniphan, Missouri; one son-in-law, Sam (Rosemary) Coblentz, Guthrie; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
