Linda “Betsy” Bond Joiner, 81, Pembroke, died Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maddux Funeral Home in Pembroke with Carolyn Kisler officiating. Burial will follow in Pembroke at Rosedale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Pembroke.

A native of Pembroke, she was born May 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Billie and Mary Wakefield Bond.

She was a school teacher and librarian in Christian County Public Schools. She was a lifetime member of Pembroke Christian Church. She was also a member of the Homemakers Club and a 4-H leader, and worked and volunteered at Pennyroyal Area Museum.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Bond, and her sister, Mae Mason.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Daniel Joiner, Pembroke; her son, Cliff (Tina) Joiner, Pembroke; her daughters, Mary Beth (Tom) Platen, Cincinnati, Ohio, Emily (Marty) Guier, Robards; her sister, Margaret Moss, Hopkinsville; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Pembroke Christian Church or Pennyroyal Area Museum.
