Alice Aldridge Franklin, 91, Cadiz, died Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Trigg County Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at East End Cemetery on Main Street in Cadiz with the Rev. Kenny Rogers officiating. Social distancing requirements will be in place as required by the guidelines set forth by the governor and the CDC. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home.

A Between the Rivers native, she was born August 23, 1928, in the Cravens Bay area of Lyon County, daughter of the late Layo and Polly (Fox) Aldridge.

She managed a farm at Crooked Creek and at McNab School House in Lyon County. She briefly worked at the former Wilkinson’s Department Store in downtown Cadiz.

She was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, M.V. Franklin; two brothers, Raybon Aldridge and Sammy Aldridge; and a sister, Ponney Walker.

She is survived by her son, Jackie (Debbie) Franklin, Cadiz; two grandsons and her devoted companion, Gary Jones, Cadiz.
