Lucile Kirby Cottrell, 85, Morningside Assisted Living, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at her home of natural causes.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Christian County, she was born July 15, 1934, the daughter of the late James Hansford Gee and the late Mary Corene Gilliland Gee.

She was a secretary for Christian County Middle School and a member at Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Kirby; her brother, Leasil Gee; her sisters, Nancy Gee and Pamela Gee.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Cottrell, Hopkinsville; her son, Malcolm (Luci) Kirby, Christian County; her daughter, Mona (Mike) Fowler, Gracey; her brothers, Thomas Gee, Dawson Springs, Johnny Gee, Shelbyville, TN; her sisters, Kaye Humphries, Hopkinsville, Betsy Pierce, Memphis; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Pennyroyal Hospice, 220 Burley Ave. Hopkinsville, KY 42240, or Trinity Baptist Church, 3900 Lafayette Road, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
