Clyde “Partner” Woods, 85, Trenton, died at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at his residence of natural causes.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Trenton Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church. Latham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Waverly, Tennessee, he was born Jan. 17, 1934, the son of the late Walter David Woods and Susie Corbitt Woods.

He was employed by the Todd County Standard newspaper for 16 years and Little River Propane. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of Trenton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and also served as treasurer for 30 years. He was a member of the Gideon’s Elkton Camp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Olah Waggoner, and his great-grandchild, Kipton Keith Groves.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Shirley Higgins Woods, Trenton; his daughter, Donna Woods (Frankie) Brown, Princeton; his sisters, Amanda Sweeney, Port Charlotte, FL, Jane Scott, Elkton, and Bobbye Ann McIntosh, Hopkinsville; two grandchildren and four great-grandchldren.
