Beatrice Perrigo, 83, Cadiz, formerly of Georgia and Maine, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at her granddaughter's home in Cadiz of natural causes.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Ellijay, Georgia. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

A native of Alton, Maine, she was born June 15, 1936, the daughter of Leroy Ferro and Nina (Moore) Ferro.

She retired after 40 years as a certified medical assistant in Orono, Maine. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Ellijay, Georgia, and had served as a Boy Scout leader in both Georgia and Maine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Perrigo; and her sisters, Ruby Ferro and Fern Ward.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Thomas, Cadiz; three sons, Tim (Melody) Kennedy and Steven (Annette) Kennedy, both of Hubert, North Carolina, Kevin (Teresa) Perrigo, Auburn, Maine; two brothers, James (Sharon) Ferro and Nelson (Linda) Ferro, both of Alton, Maine; two sisters, Louise Cox and Ebie Kidder, both of Maine; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
