James Robert “Bob” “Worm” Moore, Jr., 86, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Covington’s Convalescent & Rehab Center.

There are no planned services. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY he was born June 7, 1933 the son of the late James Robert Moore and Ermine Russell Moore. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in civil engineering. He was retired after 41 years from Howard K. Bell as a consulting engineer. He was veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club.

He loved spending time on Lake Tandy with friends, he was avid mountain biker, golfer, and water skier. He loved all things in aviation which lead him to get his pilot’s license and also to become instructor. Bob was always full of advice and freely bestowed that upon his children which included: “Keep your knees together”, “Keep your Health Insurance”, and “Love Your Friends and Family”.

Survivors include his two sons: Robert H. Moore of Paris, KY and Joseph D. Moore of Georgetown, KY; two grandchildren: Madeline J. Moore and Samuel T. Moore; and his special friend: Becky Wood.
