Helen Marshall, 77, Hopkinsville, died Monday, July 8, 2019, at her home of natural causes.

Private graveside services and a Celebration of Life service will be at a later date. Christian Cremation and Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Hickman, she was born Nov. 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Paul and Nettie Mae Carrico Stahr.

She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and a graduate of Nazareth College where she received a bachelor's degree in biology. She worked almost 50 years as a medical technologist in hospitals in Memphis, Clarksville, Madisonville, Greenville, Annapolis, Maryland, and Bradenton, Florida. She was a Master Gardener and volunteered at the Western Kentucky State Fair. She was past president of the Little River Chapter of the Audubon Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Joe" Stahr, and her sister, Earela Mae Broadfoot.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Marshall, Hopkinsville; two daughters, Kristen Upton and Anne Guerrero, both of San Antonio, Texas; her sister, Mary Ann Stahr, Clarksville; and six grandchildren.
