Heather Cooper

Heather Dawn Cooper McKnight, age 36, died on Thursday Nov. 12, 2020 at the Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Adams and Sons Mortuary. The social distancing, walk-through visitation hours are from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Rev. C.E. Timberlake will be officiating. The burial will take place at the Cave Spring Cemetery in Hopkinsville.

Born in Madisonville, Kentucky on Aug. 14, 1984, Heather was the daughter of Deborah Joe Brim Catlett and Robert Edward Toliver.

She was a devoted member of First Street Baptist Church in Hopkinsville where she served on the pastor’s aide, the Culinary Committee, the Sanctuary Choir. Heather also served as the assistant director of the Youth Ministry and the Dance Ministry.

A resident of both Hopkinsville and Murray, for seven years, Heather was employed as the activities director at the Gainesville Manor Nursing Home in Hopkinsville. She was also employed at the Village Daycare in Murray.

Heather was preceded in death by her parents Deborah Joe Brim Catlett and Robert Edward Toliver.

Survivors include her son, Cyvon Jakai Cooper of Paducah, Kentucky; daughter, Iyah Reice McKnight of Hopkinsville; brothers, Thadius Toliver, Tefrell Toliver and Eric McKnight all of Hopkinsville; sisters, Reshawn Toliver, Renikka (Will) Owen, Shiangela McKnight all of Hopkinsville, and Kimberly Alford of Huntsville, Alabama.
