Philip Edmonson, 74, Trigg County, died due to natural causes at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at Continue Care Hospital at Baptist Health Madisonville
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Smith and John Hagan officiating.
Burial will be at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz.
A visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.
A native of West Virginia, he was born June 8, 1945, the son of the late Albert Hollon Edmonson and Mary (Simmons) Edmonson Poyner.
A lifelong logger, he owned Edmonson Logging and had also worked as a truck driver, both over-the-road and for McCraw Lumber Company in Cadiz. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth Edmonson, Bobby Edmonson, Claude Edmonson, Douglas Edmonson, Albert Linn Edmonson; and two sisters, Mary Alice Tyler and Becky Burden.
Survivors include his wife, Pasty Holder Edmonson, Gracey, two sons; Tim (Karla) Edmonson, Gracey, and Phillip Ray (Renee) Edmonson, Cadiz; two brothers, David Edmonson and Paul (Phyllis) Edmonson, both of Cadiz, two sisters, Gracie Choate, Cadiz, and Betty Smith, Princeton, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
