Charles W. Maddox, 88, Crofton, died 9:05 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020 at Covington’s Convalescent Center.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton with the Rev. Dr. Rick Loader officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Crofton, he was born June 28, 1932, the son of the late Charles Wesley Maddox and Archie Davenport Maddox.

He was retired from the Soil Conservation Service and the State Road Department. He was a member of the Crofton Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pryor Maddox.

Survivors include his son, James Wesley (Bette Renshaw) Maddox, Crofton; his daughter, Gloria (James) Cook, Crofton; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Crofton Christian Church Memorial Fund.
