Delores Darnell, 88, Princeton, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Princeton Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan's Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late William Everett and Mary Bertha Pool Cunningham.

She was a retired school teacher, teaching in the Caldwell and Hopkins county school systems. She had been a bus driver for the Caldwell County transportation department, a traffic officer in the City of Princeton, an operator for AT&T and was a retail clerk for the JCPenney company. She was a member of the Faith Apostolic church in Princeton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland "Runt" Darnell; her grandson, Maxwell Connor Darnell; and her sister, Lee Ellen Ray.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Bonnie) Darnell, Ronnie (Ladonna) Darnell, both of Caldwell, David (Sherrie) Darnell, Madisonville, and Kent (Suzanne) Darnell, Princeton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
