Sherry Jean Jennings, 72, Dawson Springs, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at Baptist Health of Madisonville.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs with the Rev. Rick Hatley officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.

A native of Webster County, she was born Sept. 22, 1946, the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline Hawkins.

She was a 1964 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and she retired after working for 19 years with Goodyear Manufacturing. Additionally, she worked for many years at the “Hickory Pit Restaurant” in Dawson Springs. She was of Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hawkins.

Survivors include her husband of many years, Jeff Jennings, Dawson Springs; two daughters, Alexia (Tony) Dunn, Evansville, Indiana, and Krissy (Jimmy) McElfresh, Madisonville; one son, Scott (Autumn) Jennings, Prospect; three sisters, Kaye Hooper, Hopkinsville, Nancy (David) Sturtevant, Kingston Springs, Tennessee, and Sheila (Greg) Corn, Beech Grove; three brothers, David Hawkins and Perry Hawkins, both of Hopkinsville, and Rick (Carol) Hawking, Mount Vernon, Indiana; and nine grandchildren.
