Barrett E. Durham, 92, Hopkinsville, and formerly of Crofton, died at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crofton Christian Church in Crofton with the Rev. Drs. Rick Loader and Kevin Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgetop Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Crofton, he was born May 20, 1928, the son of the late Walter Sherman Durham and Amy Lee Lacy Durham.

He served his country by serving in the United States Army during WWII. He retired after working many years as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Crofton Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Carlos Durham, Thomas Durham, Herbert Durham, Doris Durham and Harold Durham; one sister, Dorothy Durham; and his step-father, Hardin (Ted) Lanier.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Anna Beth Durham; his sons, Gary R. (Deborah) Durham, Paige, Texas, and Randy D. (Cheryl) Durham, Crofton; his daughter, Connie (Greg) Pryor, Hopkinsville; his sister, Shirly Lanier Ballard, Crofton; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
