Richard "Richie" Lawrence Blackburn, 76, Princeton, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Morgan's Funeral Home with visiting hours beginning at 8 a.m. and the Rev. Curtis Franklin officiating.

Burial to follow in the Asher cemetery in Caldwell County.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Lawrence "Jack" Crittenden Blackburn and Clarena Morgan Blackburn.

He was a retired Princeton police officer, a member of Good Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Gail Tosh Blackburn, Princeton; one daughter, Kelly Blackburn (Chris) Dyer, Hixon, Tennessee; one son, David Ryan Blackburn, Owensboro; one step-daughter, Sussann Egbert Lovell, Mayfield; three sisters, Faye Phelps and Cindy Rogers, both of Fredonia, Renee Hollamon, Marion; one brother, Steve Blackburn, Eddyville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
