Bertha Summers, age 90, W. 7th Street, Hopkinsville, died on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Creekwood Place, Russellville, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Adrian Carlos Cavanah officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the funeral home.
A native of Crofton, she was born March 20, 1930, the daughter of the late David Al Carlos Cavanah and the late Lorene Mae (Simpson) Cavanah.
She worked as a seamstress for the Shoe Factory, Hopkinsville Clothing, and Flynn’s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herchel Lee Summers; son, Michael Joe Nunn; brothers, Horace Dale Cavanah, Gerald Ray Cavanah, and William Callis Cavanah; sisters, Loverta Louise Dossett, Adelle Marie Page, Glenda Lorell Belk, Nellie Carolyn Schneider, and Arletta Gayle Welch.
Survivors include her son, David C. (Tonya) Summers, Hopkinsville; daughter, Paulette (Dale) Satterlee, Hopkinsville; brother, Adrian Carlos Cavanah, Russellville; sister, Gilda M. King, North Carolina; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
