Mary Katherine Ross Feagans, 98, of Covington’s Convalescent Center in Hopkinsville, died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Graveside services were 3 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, with the Rev. Keith Katterheinrich officiating. Visitation was Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Catlettsburg, she was born January 27, 1923 the daughter of the late Joseph Zero Ross and Annie Effie Rankin Ross. Following her time as a homemaker and stay at home mother she went to work in sales at several department stores. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Flower Ministry Coordinator, volunteered with WeCare, and was part of the Woman’s Circle. She was a former Pink Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill “W.G.” Feagans; her brothers, Manford “Mack” Ross, Douglas Ross, and Haskell Jackson “Hack” Ross; and a great grandson, Stetson McFarland.

Survivors include her daughters, Gwen Smith of Hopkinsville, and Jo (Ed) Shewmaker of Lebanon, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Tyler “T.J.” (Nik) Shewmaker of Hendersonville, Tenn., Alisha (Nathan) McFarland of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Dr. Ross (Rachel) Smith of Viera, Fla.; and her great grandchildren: Lilli Kate McFarland, Cora McFarland, and Reid Smith.
