Gladys Ann Wilson, age 72, passed away on Oct. 18, 2020 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday Oct. 24, 2020 in the Chapel of Adams and Sons Mortuary. The social distancing walk-through visitation hours are from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with Rev. Clinton Jones officiating.
Born in Hopkinsville on July 29, 1948, she was the daughter of Minnie Ruth West McReynolds and Jesse Wilson. A lifelong resident of Hopkinsville, she attended worship services at the Chapel House. She was a resident of the Chapel House for seven years. She served as a trip leader and she helped out in a supervisory role. She was employed as a CNA and a cook. She was also employed as a caregiver for Patties Ownership.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Brown and Arndia Wilson; and four brothers, James Taylor, Raymond Johnson, Jessie Wilson Jr. and James Wilson.
She is survived by her sons John Allen Moore of Lexington, Carlo Lamont Moore of Lewisville, Indiana and Al Smith of Hopkinsville; daughters Diane Marie Campbell of Eddyville, Kentucky and Lucy Dee Moore of Hopkinsville; brothers Walter (Shirley) White of Chicago, Robert Johnson of Louisville, and Jeffery Wilson of Hopkinsville; 12 grandchildren, six great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates.
