Frank E. Chilton, 90, died on Sept. 13, 2020.

Service will be at noon Friday at Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Friday at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville.

A lifelong resident of Hopkinsville, he was born June 12, 1930, son of the late Edwin and Grace Chilton. He was a World War II Air Force veteran, a businessman, entrepreneur and former member of Hopkinsville City Council. He belonged to several organizations including the Hopkinsville Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Preceded in death by former spouse, Mary Lou Chilton; 12 brothers and sisters, and grandson Justin Chilton.

Survivors include his sister Patsy Elliott, daughter Sandra (James) Thomas, sons David (Trish) Chilton, Wayne Chilton, Roger (Dawn) Chilton, Jon (Rhonda) Chilton; and nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Animal Shelter.
