Hopkinsville’s Reece Jesse and Daisjuan Mercer were named to the All-WKC First Team this week.

The Tigers nominated nine players for the team, but it was Jesse and Mercer that got the honors.

Jesse finished the year with 36 catches, 745 yards and seven TDs. The senior was responsible for half of quarterback Treyvon Jefferson’s passing yards and nearly half of his TD passes on the year.

Mercer followed up his spectacular freshman campaign with another great year, but this time showcased his talent on both sides of the ball.

The sophomore finished with 342 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns on offense, and also had three interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.

The other Tigers put up for All-WKC honors were Jefferson, Ryan Myers, Tahj Manning, Jay’Den Dillard, Ventrial Baker, Alijah Watts and Zach Moss.
