The Second Region Tournament brackets have been set after the tournament draw took place Friday morning.

Christian County, University Heights Academy and Trigg County have each found out what teams it is playing in both the boy’s and girl’s tournaments next week in Madisonville and Henderson.

UHA, the winner of both Eighth District Tournaments, drew Fifth District runner up Lyon County in both tournaments. The girls will play at 8 p.m. on Monday, while the boys will face off at 8 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Trigg County won both Fifth District championships and drew Hopkins County Central in the girl’s bracket, while drawing Sixth District runner-up Webster County in the boys’ bracket. The Lady Wildcats will kick off the tournament at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will play at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Christian County will face Madisonville-North Hopkins in the girls’ bracket and Henderson County in the boys’ tournament. The Colonels play at 8 p.m. on Monday while the Lady Colonels will play at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The draw sets up some interesting potential matchups in the semifinals on Wednesday.

The Lady Blazers could have a 2019 Second Region Championship rematch with Henderson County in the semis. A rematch between UHA and Madisonville-North Hopkins in the semifinals on the boys’ side is possible as well. The Blazers defeated the Maroons 4-0 earlier this season.

Both Second Region Tournaments will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, the boys are in Madisonville, while the girls are in Henderson.
