Fort Campbell will now begin its search for a new head football coach.

Josh Robins, the Falcons head coach for the last four seasons, announced he is stepping down from the position via social media.

Robins sent out an announcement on his Twitter account on Tuesday morning announcing his resignation.

"I would like to thank the students, staff, and community for their support," Robins said in his announcement. "I would also like to thank our coaches and their families for their tireless work and dedication to our young men.

"Lastly, I want to thank the players and families. I appreciate all of the hard work you have put in over the last three years. I am proud of the things we were able to accomplish on the field, in the classroom, and the opportunity to have had 10 students offered scholarships. I hope that I have made a positive impact on your lives and helped you grow on and off the field. Like I tell you guys after every practice and lift, I love you guys. I will always be here for you, and I am only a phone call away."

In his four-year tenure as the Falcons' head coach, Robins finished with a record of 6-36 and helped coach Fort Campbell to the KHSAA Playoffs on two occasions (2016, 2019).

Robins closed his statement saying how appreciative he was to be the coach on post.

"I will always cherish my time at Fort Campbell, as it helped me grow in many areas," he stated. "I wish the program nothing but the best."
