After a 1-3 start to the season, the Hoptown Hoppers have reeled off six wins in a row, including a 10-2 drumming of Madisonville on Thursday at Tiger Stadium.
Hoptown trailed 2-0 after two but scored all 10 runs in the next four innings. The Hoppers scored five runs in the third and four in the fifth en route to their seventh victory of the season.
Former Christian County Colonel Wyatt Stevenson went 3-for-5 with a double while Cameron Hill also went 3-for-5. Hill added a triple and two RBIs in the victory for the Hoppers.
Former University Heights Academy Blazer Drew McGowan had a hit and reach on an error in the victory, but added two RBIs and two runs.
Hunter Crosby dazzled on the mound for the victory. Crosby gave up two earned runs in the first two innings but settled down and struck out 10 in six innings of work.
Hunter Arnold and Jordan Wendel didn't allow a hit in the final three innings while they struck out a combined six Miners batters.
Hoptown plays at 7:05 p.m. at Muhlenberg County.
