University Heights Academy's Drew McGowan was named an All-State Honorable Mention on Monday as the future Mississippi State Bulldog capped off a stellar Blazer career.

McGowan was a key player for UHA last season in all facets as he led the team in multiple areas, including helping them from the leadoff spot.

The Blazer senior was the lone 8th District player to make an all-state team.

Madisonville-North Hopkins' Jonathan Hogart was named to the first-team while Caldwell County's Tate VanHooser was named to the third team.

Rowan County's AJ Hacker was named Mr. Baseball.
