The Todd County Central Rebels snapped a two-game losing streak with a 44-6 drumming of Butler County on the road.

The Rebels now have a vital district victory as they sit at 6-2 on the season.

TCCHS plays at 7 p.m. Friday at home against McLean County.

Caldwell Countycruises by Fort Campbell

The Fort Campbell Falcons were dealt their eighth-straight loss Friday after losing to Caldwell County 40-0 in Princeton.

The Tigers are 6-2 this season with their only district loss coming against Mayfield.

Fort Campbell heads into a much-needed off week as they play Oct. 25 at home against Ballard Memorial.

VOLLEYBALLWest Kentucky Smackdown

All four 8th District teams and Todd County Central hit the court Friday at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex for the annual Western Kentucky Smackdown.

UHA went 1-1 on the first night with a 2-0 victory over Hopkinsville but the Lady Blazers fell to 4th Region power Logan County 2-1.

Apollo also took down the Lady Rebels Friday.

All five area teams will be in action again today beginning at 9 a.m. with the medal match starting at noon.
