A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has shifted traffic along the section of US 68/KY 80 work zone that runs south of Cadiz.  Motorists should be aware that one lane of traffic is now running in each direction on the new 4-lane between the connections with US 68-Business at each end of Cadiz.

This move from 2-way traffic on the existing westbound lanes to one lane in each direction with westbound traffic running on the newly constructed westbound lanes is to help facilitate paving along this section.

Motorists should be aware that this new traffic arrangement will change the stopping points at each of the intersections along this section.  It will also require motorists entering US 68/KY 80 from the side roads to be aware of oncoming traffic as they enter the median area.   Caution is required.

This section of US 68/KY 80 continues to be an active work zone.  Changes in traffic configuration are possible from time to time due to work requirements.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
