The 70th Hopkinsville Rotary Auction has been postponed as a precaution to the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

The new dates for the auction are Sept. 14-19 at the Memorial Building.

“It would be insensitive and irresponsible, given the unprecedented circumstances we’re all dealing with during the COVID-19 outbreak, for our Club to solicit businesses and ask for donations during this difficult time, so we have made a unanimous decision to push back our beloved Auction until the fall,” said 70th Rotary Auction Chairman Scott Cowan. “It will be a little different, but we will work to make it the same amazing event that our community has come to love and support. The safety and well-being of everyone involved, though, must remain at the forefront of our efforts.”

Hour Club donations are still being accepted.

In the interest of safety, all Hopkinsville Rotary Club meetings have been canceled through April 14. As of now, club plans to reconvene for its noon meeting April 21.
