Update: Keith “Joey” Hayes Jr, 35, Hopkinsville, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on Buffalo Road in Trigg County, according to a Kentucky State Police report. An autopsy was performed Thursday and found that foul play was involved.
Police feel this is an isolated incident and not a random act of violence.
A Hopkinsville man was reported missing around 2:25 a.m. Monday after being last seen on his way to a work site, according to a Christian County Sheriff’s report.
Keith J. Hayes, 35, was last seen wearing gray jogging pants, blue long sleeve shirt, gray Columbia coat and earrings. He is white, medium built male, roughly six feet and three inches tall, weighs 250 pounds, has short brown hair, a beard and hazel eyes. Hayes also has a tattoo on his right shoulder of his children’s names.
Hayes was last seen by Jimmy Gentry, who works for Hayes. He was last seen on Princeton Road by Gentry while Hayes was following him to a job site.
