Hopkinsville City Councilwoman Kimberly McCarley, 49, Hopkinsville, was indicted by a Christian County Grand Jury Friday on charges of forgery.
According to the indictment, on or about June 22, 2016, McCarley committed the offense of second-degree forgery by forging the name of Jan Thompson to a bank document without the permission or authority of Thompson.
McCarley has been issued a bench warrant. Bail is set at $5,000 full cash.
According to New Era archives, McCarley was appointed to represent Ward 2 on Hopkinsville City Council in 2009 and has been elected to the position since.
