The Christian County Coroner's Office along with the Louisville Medical Examiner's Office identified human remains that were found in a field off Barkers Mill and Bumpus Road in Oak Grove on Saturday.

Based on dental records and missing persons report, the remains were identified as Jason Littleton of Clarksville. 

The Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville is continuing its investigation.

According to a weekend news release from KSP, Post 2 was contacted around 9:20 a.m. Saturday by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

A farmer located the remains off of Barkers Mill Road in Oak Grove.
